More Than 500 Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Alabama Employees and Family Members Give Back to the Community with Day of Caring
Birmingham, AL — More than 500 Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Alabama employees and their families gave back to the community by hosting a Day of Caring on Saturday, August 17. Volunteers worked on projects that will make a positive difference in the Birmingham area and across the state. Assembling bicycles, hygiene kits, meal kits, and creating cards for seniors were just a few of the planned hands-on projects. Day of Caring was held 7:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the following locations:

- Pathways
- Salvation Army
- WayStation
- Positive Maturity
- Area Agency on Aging
- AG Gaston Boys and Girls Club
- Girls, Inc.
- Ronald McDonald House
- Meals on Wheels
- Community Food Bank
