“We are thrilled to welcome all of the young runners, young runners at heart and their families to Hoover for this year’s Kids Marathon and for the new 5K Charity Run,” says Hoover Mayor Frank Brocato. “We are also proud to partner with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Alabama as they continue to make residents’ health a top priority. This event is about more than just crossing the finish line—it’s about inspiring a love for fitness, building confidence, and bringing our community together. We can’t wait to see the energy, determination, and smiles on race day!"
“We are proud to collaborate with the City of Hoover and other civic partners to host one of the largest kids’ marathons in the country,” said Sophie Martin, Director, Corporate Communications and Community Relations, Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Alabama. “It will be exciting to see more than 2100 children cross the finish line and rewarding to know they are being introduced to healthy habits at a young age. The addition of the 5K benefits the community by allowing older children and adults to participate in the fun and excitement.”
